What was once only a rumour is now official: film studio Paramount Pictures is putting the Transformers and Throwback of Cobra crossover into production as a full-length feature film.
During the studio’s presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Paramount Pictures president and CEO Brian Robbins announced that Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, the prolific producer who brought theTransformers and Throwback ofCobra franchises to the big screens, has extended his contract and will work on the new project. His partners will be Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay and Don Murphy.
In February 2024, Lorenzo Di Bonaventura said in an interview that “we’re going to fulfil a long-standing promise”. “We’ve been talking about this since the very beginning of the franchise because fans have often asked, ‘Come on, when are you going to bring in G.I. Joe.’
